Meeting with German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development Mazar-e-Sharif, 03.10.2011 Marmol Camp
A mutual meeting was held between the parliamentary state secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development Mrs. Gudrun Kopp and CCA Regional Manager Mr. Sayed Abdul Hamid Safwat on 3rd October 2011 in Marmal Camp Mazar Sharif airport. Mrs. Kopp was attended by head of department Mr. Friedel Eggelmeyer, deputy head of division Martin Schuldes, and Mrs.’s Kopp’s consultant Mr. Knut Steinhäuser. Mr. Safwat was attended by safe house manager Dr. Khatera Nasimi, the social worker Mrs. Elham Qateh and Mrs. M obina Nasraty Admin/Finance assistance as. From GIZ’s side, Mrs. Katharina Hild, gender mainstreaming program, and Mrs. Endy Hagen, peace building consultant at CCA took part in the meeting. During the meeting both sides discussed and changed views on various matters related to women issues, e.g. education, early marriages, family violence, forced marriages, the Afghan security situation and the impending withdrawal of international troops. On behalf of Bonn 2 conference, Mr. Safwat and his colleagues emphasized the necessity of Afghan civil society’s participation and active admission. Mrs. Kopp ensured her full participation in cooperation with and enhancing the situation of Afghan women and organizations working in this field. Mrs. Kopp talked with everyone and listened very patiently. We hope that German Federal would continue to its co operations.
